A $13 million NMTC transaction for the Boys and Girls Club of Janesville closed on August 14, 2025, playing a crucial role in the construction of a new building. The 35,000-sf facility will increase capacity by 300%, improving access to essential, high-quality services.
- Addressing crisis shortage of affordable, high-quality childcare: The Boys & Girls Club will offer affordable after school and summer programming to youth in a licensed childcare facility at a cost of $20 per month or $70 per week for full time summer care with scholarships available.
- Providing high-quality learning opportunities: Elementary-aged children will enjoy the new playground and outdoor recreation center. Teens will enjoy the new large teen center with a demonstration kitchen, as well as benefit from the expanded workforce development programs.
- Addressing the food desert and creating jobs: The Boys & Girls Club of Janesville will be able to provide 82,000 additional meals per year and 35 permanent jobs.
